“I’ve always been drawn to theater since I was young. It wasn’t until I was introduced to Mu in my final year of college that I saw Asian actors on a stage. That was an incredible image and one so powerful for me at the time. I started to think, maybe it is something I can do.” – Audrey Park, Artist
“During Mu’s workshop with our young women, I saw typically quiet students gain power before my eyes–using their voices and bodies to tell stories unheard before that day. They were louder, bolder, and less afraid.” – Sara Kennedy, WISE, Girls Getting Ahead in Leadership (GGAL) program at LEAP High School
“I donated to Mu in memory of my dear mother Ruby Lai-Mai Ng. She was the only family member who had ever seen me act and perform taiko with Mu, and who had even joined me at cast parties! For this and so much more, she will always be in my heart. Giving to Mu as a sustaining member is a small way for me to honor her and give her voice in a BIG way that she never fully had as a traditional Chinese woman.” – Rose Wan-Mui Chu, former Mu Actor, former Mu Daiko member, & long-time supporter
