FOB MN TOUR

by DAVID HENRY HWANG
directed by RANDY REYES

June 7 - 29, 2014

AN OBIE AWARD WINNER

Theater Mu proudly presents the Minnesota Chinese Restaurant Tour of FOB by David Henry Hwang (Broadway’s Chinglish, M. Butterfly). The production will tour during weekends in June to four Minnesota communities.

Mu Artistic Director Randy Reyes helms Hwang’s landmark Obie Award-winning play which explores relationships and conflicts between established ABC (American Born Chinese) and FOB (Fresh Off the Boat) newcomers. The production stars Eric Sharp (Yellow Fever, Into the Woods), Meghan Kreidler(Kung Fu Zombies Vs. Cannibals), and Michael Sung-Ho (Into the Woods, Little Shop of Horrors).

TEA TIME

Learn more about the history of Chinese immigration to the The United States at our TEA TIME, an interactive lecture hosted by our presenting partners and led by Eliza Rasheed.

The Minnesota Chinese Restaurant Tour is funded by the Arts Tour Minnesota FY2014 grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. FOB follows Mu’s successful recent productions of other David Henry Hwang plays including Yellow Face (2010) and his adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Flower Drum Song (2009).
