Mu Backstage Pass
An arts program for Schools, Colleges, and Community Groups
Mu Performing Arts offers a complete theater experience through the Asian American lens in order to deepen the understanding of what it means to be an Asian American in society today. Participating groups have the unique opportunity to go behind-the-scenes of Mu productions to learn more about the stories they tell, the issues they address, and the processes that bring them to life on the stage.
With the Mu Backstage Pass, your group will:
- Experience a Mu performance. We invite you to see a performance of a Mu production for ONLY $10 per ticket (regular prices: $23 – $35). This is an exclusive offer available only for Mu Backstage Pass groups.*
- Discuss issues pertaining to the play. Actors and/or directors will sit down with your group to talk about issues addressed in the play, Asian Americans in the entertainment business, and/or theater as a viable art form. This discussion can be at your space or at the theater venue itself, either on the day of the performance or prior to/after the performance date. Discussions are FREE with your group attendance at a Mu production.
- Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour. We will meet the group before or after the play and give them a tour of the theater and backstage. This is also FREE of charge.
