The Minnesota Chinese Restaurant Tour is funded by the Arts Tour Minnesota FY2014 grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. FOB follows Mu's successful recent productions of other David Henry Hwang plays including Yellow Face (2010) and his adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Flower Drum Song (2009).

Minnesota State Arts Board: Arts Tour Minnesota FY14 – This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
"I couldn't be more excited about Mu's Minnesota Chinese Restaurant tour of my play FOB. Like many Chinese of my generation, I had relatives in the restaurant business, and this play was written in part as a tribute to their spirit. Performing it now in those restaurants themselves brings the journey of this play back full-circle. I hope everyone enjoys the show; I know they will enjoy the food."
