“This is a Vietnamese play, written by an actual Vietnamese person and featuring talented Asian American artists…One aspect to think about :  Starfruit tree does not enjoy the name recognition…(when is the last time you saw Starfruit Tree airbrushed on the side of a bus?)  So the Ordway should still be held accountable for the return visit of a blockbuster play whose racist, sexist stereotypes of Vietnamese people are unfortunately the only education/image of the Vietnamese for the majority of American people.”
